Leopard ( Ntombi) / JayDee - Enkombi Pan.
Rhino ( Female & Adolescent)
Buffalo ( Dagha Boys) / Motswari – Tsharalumi Crossing.

Afternoon Drive.

Daily Synopsis.

With Chad on well deserved leave and myself not on drive till Thursday, I'll be posting only the day's sightings with the stories resuming from Friday. This will also give you all a chance to catch up with the stories and pic's of Chad's epic driving spell.

Having said this Herold is one of a few drives out there at the moment and although the sightings report may not reflect it, he is having to work very hard for his sightings. This is possibly due to the very high bar Chad set before leaving and it is normally Herold who produces the magic, so he is finding himself in unfamiliar territory. I have no doubts it won't be long before his magic returns, so watch this space!

15th June.

Morning Drive.

( Herold.)

Leopard ( Argyle Male.) / Argyle – Mphisi Kaya Rd.
Rhino ( Female & Adolescent.)

Afternoon Drive.

( Herold & Johannes.)

Buffalo ( Breeding Herd.) / Karans – Majambi Dam.
Buffalo ( Dagha Boy.) / Motswari – Xinatsi Dam.

Daily Synopsis.

Normally when things go quiet in our traversing it is reserved to an area, so if it's quiet in the North, there will be something happening in the South, and vice versa. Unfortunately it appears that things have all gone into hibernation or should I say hidernation, as the weather is great and we can't blame that! I'm sure the guys are paying Wildlife Tax and something extremely special is just around the corner, or............... Chad left us with his debt to pay from his incredible driving spell, we have no problem blaming him! If you know not of what we speak check out the previous four blogs: Mbali Looses Her Kill, The Absolute Perfect Day, Not Such A Bad Hangover and The Grand Finale: Cheetah!

  1. Hi Grant,
yes, Chad had a very special few days, man I wish I could be there for those drives.
I am sure the sightings will pick up again shortly,
ie. when is Chad back? :)
Just kidding Grant, enjoy your drive and remember - even a quite day in the bush is better than the best day in the office!

    Cheers
    Lourens
