Daily Synopsis.

Marka had himself a great morning and had he not seen Lion the evening before he could have continued a little further to the South and seen the Machaton Pride who had killed themselves a baby Zebra. This sighting became that little more interesting when the new pride of six Lions turned up on the scene and were found eating the remains of what the Machatons had left behind. It is amazing how far they had travelled overnight as they covered our entire traversing area from North to South. It is going to be very interesting to watch what develops with these new arrivals and as of yet no one has any idea who they are and where they come from. They must have had some contact with vehicles as they are not that shy around them. In fact it is only the two older females that are a bit wary but the younger males and female are quite relaxed.

It is interesting to note how different the afternoon drive was to the morning as they guys travelled the same area's but where they had found the “ Big Five” in the morning they now found a host of different Rhino groupings, a sure indication winter has officially arrived. I wonder what lies in store tomorrow.
