Daily Synopsis

The morning drive was a good one, with good elephants, buffalos and general game being seen; the Sohebele lions had abandoned their buffalo herd and their tracks headed back north, but they were not found.  Argyle Jnr leopardess and her cub were found with an impala kill near our airstrip, but only a quick glimpse was had as the cub ran off in the morning.

The afternoon more than made up for the slightly quiet morning; Shadrack had an amazing sighting in which he sat in one spot watching 4 of the Big 5!!!  The Mafikizolo Pride were chasing a herd of buffalos, while then being chased by the buffalos themselves!  While this was going on, a leopard decided to wander down from the river bank and come and have a drink of water in one of the pools and sat there watching the commotion a short distance away; all the while elephants aplenty were scattered along a 3km stretch of the Nhlaralumi starting from Mbali Dam to Klipgat Crossing!

The drive was finished off with a sighting of Argyle Jnr and the cub at the kill, but as the cub was still young, it could not be viewed after dark.

Exciting stuff for sure!
