Daily Synopsis
Greetings!  Sorry, not being out on drive, its a bit difficult to comment on what was out there, but it was a quiet day by all accounts from Shadrack – never easy being the only vehicle out from the lodge, especially when the other drives all headed south.
In the morning, Shadrack tracked down five rhinos and got so show these to his guests on foot, which is always exciting!  The trackers found lion tracks on the soccer field, but despite following them for a couple of kilometres, they sadly had no luck in locating the three mystery lions; although, I suspect it is the Jacarandas, while Grant is hopeful it is the Xakubasa Pride.  Shadrack worked the area yesterday evening, but besides a herd of elephants, he had a very quiet drive.
I am back on drive tomorrow afternoon, but I do have to share these links with you before I get back on drive!
BE WARNED, they are NOT for SENSITIVE viewers as they are very graphic, but it is an amazing account of the buffalo kill that Grant and his guests got to watch last week – definitely not for the faint hearted!!!
Have a good day and will catch up again tomorrow!

BE WARNED- VERY, VERY GRAPHIC - not for sensitive viewers!

  2. They aren't great killers, but they did catch something to eat. They were the neatest lions and so handsome. They were really different. The whole pride was that way. They weren't vicious or hotheads that went for the juggler. It's like they were put in lion-skin and told to hunt with no training or natural talent for it.
