Daily Synopsis

This blog is about sharing the amazing stories of the bushveld of Motswari and the Timbavati, and none of it would be possible if it were not for the landowners of the reserve that openly share with us their precious land which the animals have made their home.

It is thus with great sadness that the Timbavati family had to bid farewell to one of its valued members this past week.  Mr Victor Wilkens, owner of Peru, one of the largest pieces of land in the Timbavati, sadly passed away on Sunday 9th September.

Motswari would just like to pay tribute to Oom Vic and the Wilkens family; not only do we want to share with you our sincerest condolences at your loss, but we also want to pay tribute to a father, a husband and a custodian of a piece of African wilderness that has left cherished memories on all the staff and guests that have had the privilege of being able to share this piece of paradise with you and your family, and for that, we thank you...
