Elephant (Breeding Herd) / Argyle - Raisin Road
Buffalo (Daghaboy) / Arygle – Umfene Crossing
Lion (Mafikizolo Pride) / Kings – Hyena Road
Rhino (Mother and calf)

Hoping for some luck on Arygle road, we headed towards the tar and not far down the road we came across some zebra. They were slowly making their way across the road and of course the jokes started about Zebra Crossings, from there it continues to giraffe crossing and elephant crossing and so it went. There was certainly a lot of humour this morning. It was a quiet morning though however and unfortunately no sign of leopard. Herold and Shadrack trakced the two sub-adult lion for Grant all the way to the boundary so Grant was very lucky to view them before they crossed out of our traversing area!

A got a few more guests for the afternoon. It is getting dark quite quickly these days and certainly limits our tracking time on the afternoon drives. The drive started with a beautiful pair of African Hawk Eagles and we enjoyed some crocodiles resting up in the afternoon sun. Grant found the rhino and her calf and we managed to find her after dark, which is not condusive to game viewing and we do not shine spotlights on rhino after dark.

Mafikizolo pride was on Kings property and we were invited for a view which ended off my drive very nicely. The one male had clearly been in a fight as his lip was split open and looked very sore. It clearly did not effect his rest period though as were lying flat-cat in some long grass. We did see them get up and move about slightly before we had to start the long journey back to camp.
